Solar Eclipse

By Friday, March 20, 2015

In perhaps my shortest post yet, I'm documenting the photos I took during the 96% solar eclipse!

A few days before, I ordered several neutral density filters for my 300mm lens before in preparation for the eclipse. I submitted the order futilely, having seen that the forecast was supposed to be Scotland's standard overcast weather.

Luckily enough, the clouds were thin enough enough that I could manage to get some photos. Fast shutter speed made everything look very dark in-shot, whereas the light outside of my viewfinder was only a touch darker.

Unfortunately, not everyone was able to see it (particularly down south!), so I feel especially lucky to have seen two solar eclipses in one year!
