Final instalment in this long line of posts! My last two days in Singapore were jam packed full of sightseeing before a horrific 22 hour trip back home to cold, wet England.

Day Thirteen: SEAside | Day Fourteen: Marina Bay

Back in Singapore, I didn't have long to recover from food poisoning before we were back out exploring the island...

Two thirds of this entry are decidedly uneventful, thanks to the body's immaculate immune system when it comes to pathogens.

With the first few days of jet lag under my belt, I didn't have long to adjust before I was back on a plane ready to head to Bali! Indonesia was my first experience of a country that wouldn't be considered developed and my first trip into the Southern hemisphere! While Bali is a very tourist-driven island, we made sure to delve deeper and get away from the clubbing and surf scene while we were there. Prepare for an extremely long post!

In what will soon be one year ago exactly, my flatmate Kate and I booked to fly out to see our other flatmate Carolyn out in Singapore. Hailing from Scotland originally, Carolyn has lived out there for almost a full Chinese zodiac calendar as an ex-pat kid and now attends university at Stirling. She still flies out in holidays to see her family and Stirling's semester system being what it is meant we all had a month to kill after Christmas, and I can safely say we put that month to good use.
