Yule in Yorkshire: On Ilkley Moor Baht 'At

By Sunday, December 29, 2013

Another quick post! Having now set foot on Ilkley Moor, I understand completely why there is a folk song saying never to go up on it without your hat. Granted it's December, but there's a wind there that rolls over the hills so hard that you're "bahn' to catch thy death o' cowd" one way or another.

The song is one my dad has recited to me when I was little, so my brother and I were pretty excited to actually head to the place with "t'worms" and apparently rainbows. Even if it was unbelievably windy and cold.

It has to be said, we didn't spend long there - mainly due to the rain, but the view was very impressive!
